Northwest Bandits’ Days Are Numbered, Including Bello Turji — Chief Of Defence Staff

The chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa has said that time is ticking against notorious bandit leader, Bello Turji and other terrorists as troops are committed to ending insecurity in Zamfara and the North West Zone.

The defence chief stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal.

He also announced the killing of Kachalla Halilu Sububu a bandit leader operating in Western Zamfara as another success by the troops.

The bandit leader was killed in Kwaren Kirya, a community in Maru local government area.

General Christopher added that a joint military theatre operation code-named ‘Operation Fansar Yamma Northwest’ will be established to tackle the spread of Insecurity in the region.

Additional helicopters and other equipment, according to him will be deployed to the country.
