On Your Marks, Get Set Go: How The Diaspora Is Warming Up For Peter Obi’s Kick-Off Of Presidential Campaign(Photos)

On Your Marks, Get Set Go means a command to start something, usually some sort of competition. The expression is frequently used at the start of a race to signal when the competitors can get going.
“You know say when we small we play this kind game well well, weda na hide and seek oh, or 100 metres race, even who is in the garden , we play am well well.” Now you know the anxiety behind you as a competitor when the umpire is shouting on your marks get set go… Your heart would be pounding.
Then, picture the best competitor among them, one who has prepared so well for the contest and is certain to win. Picture the way his heart would beat and the grin on his face.
For the Peter Obi camp in the diaspora, that is how things stand at the moment. You see, don’t be fooled into thinking that social media is ineffective; it was what forced the PDP out of power and has proceeded to install popular governments all over the world. Those guys are warming up as you can see in the photographs below.
They claim that social media is irrelevant, so why are they vying for attention there? The creativity of Peter Obi’s fans is insane; I know of a WhatsApp group that has contributed over N60 million and is simply waiting for them to blow the whistle so that campaigns can begin.
This group, which is currently only a gathering of young guys on the streets, claims that until election day, they will organize carnivals every day in every neighborhood nearby. They must have surpassed 60 million by this point, and who knows, they may even be approaching 100 million.
“Make dem they say social media no matter, yet these guys dey raise mad KUSH dey go. Ask yourself what is really structure if no be money? Which structure Obama take win? Even Trump? No B Money?”
The Obidient family in the diaspora appears to be far ahead in terms of financial mobilization and awareness, and they are ready to raise whatever the dominant parties raise and even more. Their game plans would amaze many people. They claim to be better than everyone else because they will spend money that will be put to better use.
You know the trouble with those political parties is that when they start distributing money, their selfish interests come first, and 70% of whatever they donate would be looted, but here the opposite is true, loot at your peril.” Dem no dey take juju serve juju.”
The Labour Party does not have the resources to stage the mainstream parties on its own, but the sums spent by any party on its own are still meant for the general public. And now the general public are already spending their money on Peter Obi, which highlights the fact that other political parties should be cautious about who they spend their money on, or else it will be a case of BEAR BEAR bank.( Meaning say money wey enter e no dey come out oooo)
It is like the story of the girl collecting money from her rich boyfriend to give to her poor boyfriend, who in turn spends it on his small innocent girlfriend. That one thinking she is pampering her boyfriend does not know she is empowering her enemy at the long run.
So who chop bellyful go still hungry? The diaspora has a role to play in shaping these elections, and their role has a huge impact on the public; they should be the ones driving the change agenda.
Check out these amazing images of diasporas and foreigners wearing Peter Obi’s T-Shirts that will make you smile.
We at Bush Radio are eagerly awaiting the commencement of the campaign so that we may offer you undiluted gist and excitement from the various political parties.
