Dr. Eddy Olafeso, chairman of the PDP Campaign Council, criticized APC members for allegedly attacking PDP officials without repercussions from law enforcement. Meanwhile, the APC dismissed these claims as baseless, accusing the PDP of fabricating the story to shift attention from their expected defeat.

In a bid to ensure a fair election, Yiaga Africa and 45 observer groups have called on INEC and security agencies to uphold integrity and impartiality. INEC has reassured the public of its commitment to transparency, distributing sensitive materials under tight security.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, promised a non-partisan approach, referencing the successful conduct of the recent Edo election. He urged all security personnel in Ondo to maintain professionalism.

As campaigns concluded, PDP’s rally featured top party leaders, including the National Chairman Umar Damagum and state governors, who declared their confidence in the party’s prospects.
