In a Facebook post, Igbokwe asserted that there would be no position available for a new president in 2027.

He emphasized that President Tinubu will continue to hold office at Aso Rock beyond 2027.

Igbokwe stated, “For those scheming and dreaming about 2027, you should take a break. There is no vacancy in Aso Rock until PBAT addresses the significant challenges that have built up over the years. Nigeria is being restructured to function effectively again.”

This statement comes amid speculation that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last election, and Peter Obi from the Labour Party are looking to forge an alliance to unseat Tinubu in the upcoming election.

In addition, Igbokwe has raised concerns about a coordinated effort against President Bola Tinubu as the 2027 presidential race approaches. Reports indicate that discussions regarding the next election have been intensifying lately, with varied reactions from the northern regions of the country.

In a Facebook post, Igbokwe revealed that he has received calls concerning the alleged scheme against Tinubu and shared that he found the situation amusing. He said, “There has been a strange and underhanded coalition against PBAT for 2027. They have been reaching out to me. I even laughed until I could barely hold back tears when they mentioned the names of those involved. They clearly underestimate PBAT.
