Popular Actor, Bob, Is Dead (PHOTO)
Bob McGrath, one of the original human actors on Sesame Street, a children’s puppet TV show, died at the age of 90.
His family confirmed the singer’s death peacefully at home on Sunday via his Facebook page.
“Hello Facebook friends, the McGrath family has some sad news to share. Our father Bob McGrath, passed away today. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family,” the post read.

Since the show’s inception in 1969, McGrath has played Bob Johnson, the resident music teacher.
His character, however, was retired in 2016, after the show was retooled for its 47th season.
The Ottawa native, who was born in 1932, also had a successful musical career. After releasing several hit albums of folk songs and ballads sung in Japanese, he rose to fame as a recording artist in Japan in the mid 1960s.
