Presidency Criticizes Sowore, Atiku, Peter Obi Over Presidential Ambitions

According to Ireporter Online, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has accused opposition figures Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Omoyele Sowore of consistently attacking President Bola Tinubu in a bid to weaken his administration ahead of the 2027 political cycle.

Bwala alleged that the trio had been critical of Tinubu’s leadership, policies, and personal political record without presenting Nigerians with a clear or workable alternative direction. He made the remarks in a post shared on , where he also questioned the ideological consistency and political conduct of the opposition leaders.

He specifically accused Sowore of manipulating internal party structures for personal presidential ambition, claiming that the activist-politician repeatedly positions himself within his party leadership structure to secure election tickets.

On Peter Obi, Bwala alleged that the former Anambra State governor frequently moves between political platforms in search of guaranteed presidential tickets, arguing that such actions undermine internal party democracy.

He further faulted Atiku Abubakar, accusing him of benefiting from party-switching in pursuit of his presidential ambition while criticising others for doing the same, describing the situation as politically inconsistent.

Bwala also defended President Tinubu, insisting that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) demonstrated internal democracy by conducting a primary election despite the President’s status as incumbent, noting that other aspirants were allowed to contest freely.

He added that the opposition figures had failed to present Nigerians with a concrete alternative policy direction, arguing that their criticisms of the administration were not matched with clear governance plans.
