President Tinubu Pays Tribute To Amaechi’s Mother, Calls Her A Faithful Icon

Dame Amaechi, who was aged 89, passed away after a life described as one dedicated to faith, family and service to humanity.

According to Ireporter Online, the President, in a condolence message released on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the late matriarch as a woman whose remarkable life was shaped by strong Christian values, sacrifice and unwavering devotion to her family.

Tinubu praised Dame Amaechi’s commitment to the Catholic faith, noting that she played a significant role in nurturing children who went on to contribute meaningfully to society and public service.

The President said the late mother of the former minister embodied virtues such as kindness, humility, perseverance and selflessness, adding that her impact would continue to be remembered by those whose lives she touched.

He urged the Amaechi family to draw strength from the enduring legacy of dignity, faith and service she left behind.

Tinubu extended his condolences to Rotimi Amaechi, members of the Amaechi family, the Catholic community, and the people and government of Rivers State.

“My heartfelt condolences to Rt. Hon. Amaechi, the entire Amaechi family, the Catholic faithful, and the government and people of Rivers State over the loss of Dame Ezinne Amaechi, a champion of faith whose life was marked by humility and selfless service to humanity,” the President said.

He also prayed for God to grant the deceased eternal rest and provide comfort to her loved ones during the period of mourning.
