The lawmaker representing Egor/Ikpoba Okha Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Jude Ise-Idehen has proved times without number the justification of this ancient Chinese Proverb which suggests that the ability to work is of greater benefit than a one-off handout.

In his quest to see genuine empowerment for his constituents, Hon. Jude Ise-Idehen has continued his unique skills acquisition scheme, this time around in partnership with the Institute For Peace And Conflict Resolution the lawmaker is currently training and empowering hundreds of youths and women in the shoemaking business.

Today the first batch of participants graduated from the training which started on the 25th of October and would run through to the 5th of November 2021. The Graduands would receive starter parks and take-off grants to help establish themselves.

Skills and Skill Acquisition is an essential tool capable of taking/projecting an economy to greater heights and Hon Idehen has originated lots of novel skill acquisition schemes.

Earlier thousands have benefitted from different acquisition schemes for craftsmen such as Electricians/Auto-electricians, Mechanics/Auto mechanics, Mobile phone repairs, Makeup and cosmetics among numerous others.

Skills acquisition is extensively imperative in a developing society, especially if growth and massive industrialization and development is been yearned for.
