Shocking: Akwa Ibom! EFCC Arrests Ex-Governor Udom Emmanuel Over Corruption Scandal
Former Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has been taken into custody by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged ₦700 billion fraud.

The former governor reportedly honored an EFCC invitation concerning allegations of money laundering, fund diversion, and theft, as alleged by the Network Against Corruption and Trafficking (NCAT), a civil society group.
EFCC insiders claim the petition against Emmanuel accuses him of receiving ₦3 trillion from the Federation Account over his eight-year tenure while leaving Akwa Ibom State with a ₦500 billion debt profile and unpaid projects worth ₦300 billion.
