Six Suspected Phone Snatchers, Robbers, And Thugs Arrested In Niger State, Including 10-Year-Old
In a recent operation, the Niger State Police Command apprehended six individuals suspected of involvement in phone snatching, robbery, and thuggery, with one of them being only 10 years old. According to SP Wasiu Abiodun, the spokesperson for the command, the suspects, ranging from ages 10 to 25, were taken into custody based on credible intelligence. Their alleged criminal activities included breaking into a residence in the Kutirko-Fadikpe area of Minna and stealing iPhones, Redmi Note phones, and other valuables.
Further investigations revealed that the suspects had a history of similar offenses, and they confessed to their involvement. They disclosed that they sold the stolen phones to individuals in different areas of Minna.
In a separate incident, Aliyu Usman, aged 25, was arrested in Badeggi town, Katcha, while attempting to format and unlock a stolen Android phone. Usman was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation regarding the possession of the phone, leading to suspicions of robbery.
All suspects are currently under investigation, as the police work to gather more evidence and determine the extent of their involvement in criminal activities.
