“Operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugwu Ukwu, intercepted a black Lexus 330 SUV with no plate number at Kwata Junction,” Ikenga stated.

During interrogation, the suspects—identified as Ifesinachi Okonkwo (22), Chisom Okafor (20), and Oderah Ebenezer (20)—confessed to stealing the vehicle from Isuaniocha Village, Awka North.

According to police, the trio admitted to being part of a criminal gang responsible for terrorizing residents in Awka and its environs.

SP Ikenga urged members of the public searching for a vehicle matching the description to come forward for identification and retrieval of the stolen car.

This development is part of ongoing efforts by the Anambra State Police Command to curb criminal activities and ensure safety in the region.
