“Strive For Greatness, Not Mediocrity, Yul Edochie Tells Fellow Actors”

Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yul Edochie, has urged his colleagues to maintain excellence in their craft regardless of the fees they receive.

In a post shared on Instagram, Edochie stressed that the value of an actor’s performance should not be determined by the size of the paycheck. He explained that even when offered a modest fee of ₦10,000 for a role, actors should strive to deliver a performance worth $100 million.

He cautioned that delivering substandard work because of low pay is a pathway to failure. Instead, he encouraged actors to uphold professionalism and dedication in every role, insisting that consistency and excellence are what ultimately lead to greatness.

“Even if you choose to work for free, you must still give a hundred-million-dollar performance. That’s what the acting profession demands—it is the only road to success,” Edochie emphasized.
