Terrorists Don’t Deserve to Live: Adesina Reveals Buhari’s Final Fiery Words

Former presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, has made a startling revelation regarding the late President Muhammadu Buhari’s uncompromising stance on terrorism during his tenure. According to iReporter Online, Buhari, at the height of Nigeria’s insurgency crisis in 2021, gave an emotionally intense directive to security chiefs, urging them to annihilate terrorists completely.

In his tribute to the late president, Adesina portrayed Buhari as a leader deeply invested in the safety of Nigerians, whose frustration with the growing insecurity was visible and heartfelt. During a pivotal security meeting that year, the president reportedly pleaded with military leaders to unleash full force on the insurgents, declaring, “Wipe out these people. Kill them. They are haters of humanity. They don’t deserve to live. Nigerians love me, they trust me, that’s why they keep voting for me. Wipe them out. Kill them.”

At that critical meeting, the then Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, assured Buhari of swift military action, promising total elimination of terrorist elements once the expected combat equipment arrived. According to iReporter Online, Attahiru’s response was firm and reassuring, reflecting his readiness to execute the president’s aggressive anti-terror mission.

Tragically, the general’s promise never came to fruition. Just one week after that meeting, Gen. Attahiru died in a military plane crash, marking a heartbreaking turn in Nigeria’s war against terror and weakening momentum in the nation’s counter-insurgency operations.

It also highlights the late president’s emotional investment in protecting lives and ending insurgency, an effort some critics argue was not fully appreciated during his administration.
