The Golden Fish : President Tinubu’s Diplomatic Engagements Strengthen Nigeria’s Global Position
The phrase “a golden fish has no hiding place” aptly captures the notion that exceptional qualities or achievements cannot remain concealed or unnoticed. It is a reminder that remarkable individuals or their accomplishments will inevitably attract attention and recognition, despite attempts to keep them hidden.
This adage finds resonance in the recent activities of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the 16th president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Since assuming office, President Tinubu has been actively engaging with stakeholders to drive sustainable growth and development in the country.
Currently, President Tinubu is in France, attending the Global Financing Pact Summit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. Like the proverbial golden fish, his presence has garnered interest from world leaders, who seek to engage with him.
In Paris, President Tinubu held meetings with President Patrice Talon of Benin Republic and had a strategic discussion with Swiss Confederation President Alain Berset.
He also met with major national and continental stakeholders, including AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina, business mogul Tony Elumelu, and other world business leaders.
Through his active involvement in global summits and strategic meetings, President Tinubu’s efforts not only dispel rumors about his health but also reinforce his dedication to advancing the interests of Nigeria.
In essence, the adage “a golden fish has no hiding place” serves as a metaphor for President Tinubu’s rising prominence and influence on the national and global stage.
Just as the extraordinary qualities of a golden fish cannot be concealed, President Tinubu’s exceptional abilities and leadership have attracted attention and recognition, positioning him as a sought-after figure in both national and international circles.
