Tinubu Approves Construction Of 1,000 Houses In 7 States (FULL LIST)
Vice President Kashim Shettima announced on Friday that President Bola Tinubu has given approval for the construction of 1,000 houses across Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue States.
These housing projects, along with associated facilities like schools, clinics, veterinary clinics, and ranches in Kaduna and Benue States, are part of the Federal Government’s broader plan to address conflicts in the northern regions.
Additionally, Tinubu has sanctioned an allocation of N50 billion to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to initiate the Pulaku initiative. This non-kinetic solution aims to address the crisis facing the people of the northwest.
Vice President Shettima emphasized that President Tinubu is resolute in ensuring that all victims are taken into account. He assured that the positive impacts of President Tinubu’s development initiatives will extend to all corners of the country.
Shettima also disclosed that the Federal Government is strategizing to revitalize wheat production in the nation, recognizing the challenges faced by Nigerians, and affirming President Tinubu’s commitment to addressing them. He praised the vision and leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, especially in prioritizing the welfare of the people.
During his visit to Maiduguri, Vice President Shettima commissioned various projects executed by the Borno State Government within 100 days, including the Shuwari II Community School, Healthcare Centre, Alikaramti Community School, and the Gamboru Liberty Day Secondary School in Maiduguri metropolis.
He was warmly received by a jubilant crowd, particularly school children, during the commissioning.
Beforehand, Shettima paid homage to the Shehu of Borno at his palace upon his arrival in Maiduguri.
He was accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, and several legislators from both National and State Assemblies. Also present were the Deputy Governors of Borno, Gombe, and Taraba States in the Vice President’s entourage at the palace.
