Tinubu’s Strategic Appointments: New Boards Take Helm At NCC And USPF

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Idris Olorunnimbe as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), while retaining Dr. Aminu Maida as the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, according to iReporter Online.

According to iReporter Online, Tinubu also announced the constitution of the boards for both the NCC and the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), agencies overseen by the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.

These appointments were officially confirmed in a statement released on Tuesday by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga.

The USPF Board, chaired by Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani, includes Idris Olorunnimbe as vice chairman alongside other key members.

According to iReporter Online, the USPF was established by the federal government to promote universal access to information and communication technologies (ICTs), especially in Nigeria’s rural and underserved areas.
