This unanimous suspension was imposed by the ward executives due to allegations of engaging in anti-party activities and neglecting his duties.

In a letter signed by Mr. Segun Adesegun, who serves as the chairman of Ward 5 in Abeokuta South, Ogun State, along with all ward executives, Olayokun is accused of completely disregarding NNPP’s activities at the ward level.

It’s alleged that he never participated in party functions and failed to support both the gubernatorial and presidential candidates of NNPP in the recent general election.

The letter, directed to Olayokun and copied to the party’s presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso and the party’s founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, also asserts that Olayokun played a central role in the internal crisis within the Ogun NNPP chapter.

The letter stated: “What worth is a purported National Secretary who did not partake in a significant national election? Mr. Oladipupo Olayokun contributed nothing of value to NNPP as a party in Ogun State.

“In the same vein, the NNPP Ward 5 executives and members have discovered that Mr. Oladipupo Olayokun was the instigator of the crisis within NNPP in Ogun State.

“Considering the fact that Mr. Oladipupo Olayokun committed several violations in breach of Article 39.2, subsections 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 11 of the NNPP 2022 Constitution as amended, he is hereby suspended from being a member of this party at the ward level starting from August 6, 2023.

“As a result, he is required to cease presenting himself as the National Secretary of the party from this point forward.”
