Tragedy In Kebbi: Man Arrested For Allegedly K!ll!ng Wife
According to Ireporter Online, the Kebbi State Police Command has apprehended a 30-year-old man, Suleman Mamuda, for allegedly killing his wife, Umaima Maidawa, 25, in Bayawa Village, Augie Local Government Area. The incident reportedly occurred on Monday at approximately 6:30 a.m.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Bashir Usman, stated that Mamuda allegedly struck his wife with the wooden handle of a hoe, resulting in her death. Following the incident, the suspect reportedly fled the scene but was later traced and arrested after investigations and information received from local community members.
Usman added that the Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Umar Mohammed-Hadejia, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and prosecution.
The PPRO also called on members of the public to report any criminal activities promptly and continue to support law enforcement efforts in maintaining peace and security across the state.
