for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mariya Mahmoud, led a team of high-ranking security officials to the affected community, reassuring residents of the government’s commitment to their safety.

Among the officials present were the FCT Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu; Commander Naval Unit Abuja, Commodore T.S. Lengaya; Commander Guards Brigade, Brigadier General A.O. Onasanya; FCT Director of Security, Mallam Adamu Gwary; FCT Sector Commander NSCDC, Olusola Odumosu; and Bwari Area Council Chairman, John Gabaya.

Mahmoud emphasized that investigations are ongoing and security reinforcements have been deployed across Bwari Area Council to allay residents’ fears. She urged the community to stay vigilant and cooperate with security agencies while refraining from spreading unverified information.

“We understand the anxiety caused by this incident,” Mahmoud stated. “Our priority is ensuring the safety of lives and property. Let us stand united and support one another during these challenging times.”

The minister also expressed condolences to the families of the victims and encouraged residents to resume their daily activities without fear.

With heightened security measures and a collaborative approach with law enforcement, the Federal Government aims to restore peace and confidence in Kuchibiyu and its surrounding areas.
