Troops Neutralize Bandits, Recover Arms, Ammunition In Kaduna

According to Major General Musa DanMadani, Director, Defence Media Operations, troops from Operation FOREST SANITY who responded to a distress call in Kaduna state neutralized two terrorists and recovered one AK 47 rifle.

“On the 1st and 2nd of January 2023, Troops received a distress call of bandits attack at Rafin Sarki village in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State,” Danmadami said in a statement to the Daily Independent on Tuesday. Troops were quick to respond and engaged the terrorist in a firefight. Troops apprehended two terrorists and recovered an AK-47 rifle.”

He also stated that, on the 3rd January, 2023, troops carried out an ambush operation at Rafin Taba village, Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State and made contact with terrorists.

“Troops engaged terrorists and neutralized two terrorist. Troops also recovered two AK 47 rifles, four AK 47 magazines, 51 7.62mm special ammunitions, five mobile phones, one cutlass, two motorcycles and a sum of 206,000.

“The military high command commends troops of Operation FOREST SANITY and encourages the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities,” he said.
