countries, thereby providing a secure source of energy for the region.
According to Vice President Kashim Shettima, who made the call during a bilateral meeting with the World Economic Forum (WEF) President, Børge Brende, in Davos, Switzerland, the project will address the geopolitical challenges in Europe and the growing demand for energy due to artificial intelligence, data mining, and storage.
“We seek your collaboration in fundamental areas. One is on the African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP) which will connect Nigeria to Morocco and other African countries,” Shettima said.
**LAKE CHAD RENEWAL PLAN: “Nigeria to Recharge Lake Chad and Generate Clean Energy!”**
The Nigerian government has also unveiled plans to recharge the shrinking Lake Chad and generate clean energy to tackle the global food security crisis and combat terrorism.
According to Vice President Shettima, the Lake Chad project will help to successfully generate clean energy, a significant amount of hydropower annually, and create a canal of 2400 kilometres that will change the agricultural landscape of the sub-region.
“By recharging the Lake Chad, we will be able to generate clean energy and tackle the food security crisis that the world is facing,” Shettima said.
**TINUBU’S REFORMS: “Nigeria’s Economy is on the Path to Sustained Growth!”**
Meanwhile, Vice President Shettima has praised the ongoing reforms undertaken by the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying that they have returned Nigeria to the path of sustained economic growth.
According to Shettima, the reforms have removed the subsidy, aligned the exchange rates, and introduced tax reforms, among other initiatives.
“Our economy has turned the corner, we have crossed the Rubicon and we’re now on the path to sustained economic growth,” Shettima said.
**WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM: “Nigeria Seeks Global Support to Host WEF Africa and Drive Economic Growth!”**
The Nigerian government is also seeking global support to host the World Economic Forum (WEF) Africa in the country.
According to Vice President Shettima, the hosting of WEF Africa will provide a platform for Nigeria to drive economic growth and development.
“We are seeking your collaboration to host WEF Africa and drive economic growth and development in our country,” Shettima said.
