that saw the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad last month.
Damascus International Airport will once again open its doors to global airlines, with initial flights including those from Syrian Airlines to Dubai. Qatar Airways, after almost 13 years, will also resume operations, offering three weekly flights to Damascus.
This marks a fresh chapter in Syria’s reintegration into the international community, with the government expressing confidence in the rehabilitation of major airports like Aleppo and Damascus, in partnership with international collaborators.
The return of international flights follows the resumption of domestic air travel and the arrival of aid planes and diplomatic delegations. This comes as Syria continues to recover from years of internal conflict, with hopes of rebuilding its infrastructure and economy in the years to come.
