VIDEO: Watch As Police Raid kidnappers’ Hideout, Rescue Adelabu’s Sister And Sons

A video has surfaced showing the moment operatives of the Nigeria Police Force successfully rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, after they were abducted in Ibadan, Oyo State.

According to Ireporter Online, the victims were freed during a late-night operation carried out at about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, following sustained intelligence gathering and coordinated tactical action by security operatives.

Footage shared on X by the media aide to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, showed police officers storming the apartment where the victims were being held by their abductors.

Mrs. John-Paul is reportedly the younger sister of a former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu.

A police source who spoke to Channels Television disclosed that two suspected kidnappers were killed during a fierce gun duel with operatives, while two firearms were recovered from the scene.

The source further explained that sustained intelligence tracking and pressure from security forces forced the kidnappers into confrontation, leading to the successful rescue of the victims.

Security operatives are also said to be combing surrounding areas in search of fleeing members of the kidnapping syndicate, some of whom were believed to have escaped with gunshot injuries.
