Shehu Sani, a former Senator from Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, has explained the “basis for the family war” between President Muhammadu Buhari and leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former lawmaker noted that the President’s insistence on leaving a legacy of free, fair, and credible elections in which money does not influence who wins does not sit well with party leaders.

Party leaders, he claims, believe that the President’s achievements in office cannot win elections for them without a massive influx of cash.
