Yul Edochie: “God Told Me To Back Tinubu In 2027 Election

According to Ireporter Online, actor Yul Edochie has stated that his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections is based on what he described as divine instruction.

Speaking during an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, the Nollywood actor claimed that his political choices have consistently been guided by God, adding that he believes he has been directed to continue supporting Tinubu.

Edochie maintained that his decision to stand with the president is rooted in spiritual direction rather than personal or political interest. He said he remains committed to backing Tinubu because, in his view, the guidance he receives has remained consistent.

“Because I want to support him and God — I have said it before in an interview — God has always shown me who to support, and he keeps showing me Tinubu, and I am going to stand by him,” he said.

When asked whether he believed God was involved in electoral decisions, Edochie responded that while he could not speak for others, he personally believes God actively guides his own choices. “I don’t know if he is involved on your side, but he is involved in mine; he showed me where to go,” he added.

The actor, who has remained one of the most vocal celebrity supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress, continues to generate public debate over his political stance, which has often attracted criticism across social media platforms.
