The Loretta Health Initiative led by its convener Dr (Mrs) Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, known for its dedication to improving healthcare accessibility, set up a safe haven in the Palace, strategically located for easy access by market traders and residents of the bustling Oba Market and its surroundings.

This central venue proved to be a convenient hub for individuals seeking medical assistance, as it reduced travel time and expenses while ensuring they received the care they required.

One of the primary focuses of the initiative was vision care, and it accomplished this by distributing over 300 pairs of prescription glasses to those in need. This act alone holds immense significance, as improved vision can significantly enhance individuals’ quality of life, enabling them to better engage in their daily activities.

Moreover, the Loretta Health Initiative’s team conducted comprehensive healthcare screenings, identifying various medical conditions and ailments within the community. For those requiring further treatment, they facilitated referrals to the government secondary and tertiary hospitals in the state, ensuring that individuals with complex healthcare needs received appropriate care.
