Man With Four Wives Lures JSS1 Girl With N50 To Uncompleted Building To Rape Her

The police in Delta State have arrested a 58-year-old man, Monday Ossai Oshiji, on allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl (whose name is being withheld for privacy reasons).

Oshiji, who is reportedly married to four wives, was apprehended by policemen from Umutu station at Ebedei Ukwuole, Ukwuani Local Government area of the state.

It is alleged that he enticed the girl, a Junior Secondary School pupil (JSS1), by offering her N50 and then took her to an uncompleted building where he allegedly committed the rape.

According to reports, the suspect had sexual relations with the victim twice and threatened to harm her if she disclosed the illicit affair to anyone. The suspect is said to reside in close proximity to the girl’s family home.

The matter came to light when the girl experienced excessive bleeding, prompting her to confide in her mother about the incident.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, has confirmed the incident.
