According to reports, Odukoya, affectionately known as Pastor Taiwo, passed away in the United States of America (USA) at the age of 67. While the church did not officially disclose the cause of his death, sources indicate that the well-respected preacher had been grappling with health issues, largely stemming from personal tragedies he endured.

A close family source shared, “He never really moved on from the losses he experienced. He tried to be strong, but there is a limit to what a person can endure.”

Pastor Taiwo faced a series of heartrending losses. His first wife, Bimbo, tragically died at the age of 45 in a Sosoliso plane crash in 2005. This loss deeply impacted Pastor Taiwo, as he and his wife had a strong bond. The aftermath was made more difficult by the negative comments that circulated, affecting him profoundly.

The source added, “Pastor was more affected by what people said after Pastor Bimbo died than by the actual event. Many people made hurtful comments that weighed on his heart. He was deeply hurt by the cruelty of these remarks.”
