We Take Too Much Rubbish In Nigeria – Sanusi Tells Nigerians What To Do To Leaders
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has expressed that Nigerians tolerate an excessive amount of unacceptable behavior from their leaders.
The former Emir of Kano emphasized that the populace should resist any attempts to intimidate them, regardless of whether the individual is a president or a governor.

Sanusi stressed that individuals who are not involved in politics are not inferior and should break away from their comfort zones to rescue the nation from inept leaders who are contributing to the country’s downfall.

He warned that if Nigerians fail to challenge the abnormalities prevalent in the country, a time might come when there will be no recognized nation left.
Sanusi stated, “We should not be cowed by someone’s status as a president or governor, preventing us from pointing out their wrongdoings. We have different paths to choose from. Even though I could have pursued politics and potentially become a president or governor, my decision not to venture into politics doesn’t render me inferior. This is a lesson for all Nigerians. We tolerate too much nonsense, and our comfort zones make us excessively cautious.
“If these leaders continue to misuse their power, our children may have no country to call their own in the future. The only way to salvage our nation and secure a deserving future for our children is by holding political leaders accountable, even if you are not in politics.
“It’s not an easy stance to adopt. When people in power are incapable and hold a grudge against you, take their animosity as a sign of integrity. It’s impossible to feel normal or at ease in a distorted environment.
“We must break out of our comfort zones; it’s the only path to reclaiming our nation. Young people should not be afraid. This is your homeland and your future. Embrace it, work for it, and build it. Don’t let anyone persuade you to leave for England or America with your degrees. This is your homeland, and you will return.”
