BREAKING: Tinubu Makes New Appointments (DETAILS)

President Bola Tinubu has given the green light to the appointment of Mojoyinoluwa Dekalu-Thomas as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO).

NELMCO, a special purpose entity established by the federal government, is entrusted with the task of overseeing the liabilities and non-core assets of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN).

The announcement of Dekalu-Thomas’ appointment was made by Ajuri Ngelale, the presidential spokesperson, in a statement issued on Friday.

According to Ngelale, Dekalu-Thomas will hold the position for a tenure of four years.

Dekalu-Thomas had previously served as the Acting MD/CEO of NELMCO following the conclusion of Adebayo Fagbemi’s term as the pioneer NELMCO MD/CEO on May 8, 2023.

“In addition, her previous interim role and new substantive appointment have created a vacancy in her former position: Executive Director, Liability Management,” the statement elaborated.

“As a result, President Tinubu has sanctioned the selection of Mr. Dimla Joel Nchinney to assume the role of substantive Executive Director, Liability Management at NELMCO.”

Ngelale emphasized that the appointments are effective immediately.
