Remilekun, known for his spiritual leadership in a white garment church, led a group of youths from his parish to Avista Beach in Ajah on Saturday, February 17, for a day of festivities marking the romantic occasion.
According to reports, the beach picnic, which commenced in the afternoon, took a tragic turn when Remilekun went missing after the gathering concluded in the evening.
His friends, alarmed by his disappearance, launched a frantic search but were unable to locate him. Despite returning to the beach the following morning and reporting the incident to the authorities, Remilekun remained unaccounted for.
Subsequently, the management of Avista Beach confirmed the distressing news, revealing that Remilekun’s lifeless body was discovered washed ashore at a different beach in the community the following Monday.
As questions linger surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance and tragic end, the community grapples with the loss of the revered prophet, whose unexpected demise serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life amidst moments of celebration.
