During the Democracy Day celebration last month, President Tinubu missed a step, prompting widespread speculation about his ability to lead the country.

However, at a town hall meeting organized by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) in the Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja, Shettima refuted these concerns.

“We are not asking you to ignore your president’s health condition, but the speculations are unfounded,” Shettima said. “Leadership isn’t about physical strength but the ability to generate and implement ideas to solve national problems. President Tinubu embodies this capability, and we should support him.”

Addressing the state of Nigeria’s economy, Shettima acknowledged the challenges but emphasized that economic difficulties are a global issue. “Our economy is experiencing turbulence, but it is not unique to Nigeria. We must consider the broader picture and be fair to the President,” he urged.

Shettima expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting his commitment and ability to drive change and progress in Nigeria. “We have never had it so good in terms of leadership. The President means well for the nation and has the skill set to foster development. Leadership is about competence, and President Tinubu exemplifies this,” he concluded.
