 ‘A Great Loss To The Nation’: Southern Governors Mourn Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

The Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has described the death of Senator Ifeanyi Ubah as shocking and a great loss to the country.

In a condolence message to the people and government of Anambra State, Governor Abiodun noted that Ubah’s demise, which occurred just hours after the passing of the President-General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has left a significant void that will be hard to fill.

Senator Ubah was well-known as a self-made man, politician, business mogul, and philanthropist who contributed significantly to the nation’s development.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Oil, Ubah was a major player in the oil industry and uplifted the needy through his Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation.

“Today, we mourn the loss of a visionary leader and a true advocate for the people of Anambra State and Nigeria,” Governor Abiodun said. “Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s sudden demise has left a void that will be difficult to fill. His untimely departure is not only a loss for his family and loved ones but also for the entire state and the nation as a whole. We recognize and appreciate the significant contributions he made during his tenure as a senator and his commitment to the betterment of Anambra State.

“Throughout his career, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and an unwavering passion for serving the people. Beyond his political achievements, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah will be remembered for his compassion, humility, and genuine concern for the well-being of others.

“We stand in solidarity with the Government and People of Anambra State during this difficult period.”
