Edo PDP Primary: Appeal Court Validates Ighodalo’s Candidacy
The Court of Appeal, sitting in Abuja, has overturned a previous ruling by the Federal High Court that had ordered the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to include 378 excluded ad-hoc delegates in its primary election.
The appellate court ruled that the lower court lacked jurisdiction, emphasizing that only political aspirants have the legal standing to challenge a party’s primary process.
This decision effectively affirms Asue Ighodalo as the PDP’s candidate for the upcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.
