Youth Are The Custodians Of Edo State’s Future, Says Parliament Speaker
The Speaker of the Edo State Youth Parliament, Fawaz Muhammad, emphasized the importance of youth empowerment and education in securing the future of Edo State. Speaking on the 33rd anniversary of the state’s creation, Muhammad praised the contributions of successive administrations in guiding Edo toward progress.
In his statement, Muhammad highlighted the collective efforts of both military and civilian administrations, acknowledging their roles in fostering sustainable growth. He also lauded the state’s traditional institutions for maintaining Edo’s cultural and social stability.
Muhammad underscored the significance of youth-focused initiatives, such as the anniversary’s youth program at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and the launch of the Edo State Urban Development Master Plan. He stressed that investing in education, particularly through the EdoBEST program, is crucial for equipping the next generation with the skills needed to drive Edo State forward.
He called on Edo youths, both local and abroad, to take this moment as an opportunity to contribute to the state’s growth and prosperity. Muhammad concluded with a message of unity and purpose, urging everyone to work together to ensure a brighter future for Edo State.
