Abubakar Momoh and Adams Oshiomhole Grace Grand Closing of Catholic Bishops Conference in Auchi

The Minister of Niger Delta Development, Engr Abubakar Momoh FNSE, and the former Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, made a notable appearance yesterday at the grand closing of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in Auchi, Edo State. The event marked the final day of the 2024 Second CBCN Plenary, concluding with a celebratory dinner night that brought an end to over a week of spiritual and communal festivities.

The evening was hosted by the revered Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel Ghieakhomo Dunia, who ensured that the dignitaries and the clergy in attendance were well received.

During the event, Minister Momoh delivered a goodwill message, highlighting the significant strides his ministry has made over the past year in transforming the Niger Delta region. He proudly pointed to the completion of the Okitiupa substation, a critical infrastructure project that reconnected over five local governments to the national grid after 15 years of darkness. This achievement was just one among many, as the Minister also underscored the major road projects in Bayelsa and other states, as well as the extensive empowerment programs that have benefited the people across the nine states of the Niger Delta.
