Witnesses report that tensions heightened during a mediation meeting at Tipper Garage, Idogbo, aimed at resolving the dispute. However, the peace talks reportedly failed, sparking a violent response from some Eiye members who launched a knife attack on the Vikings group. While the initial assault did not result in fatalities, retaliation soon followed, with Vikings members allegedly targeting a prominent Eiye member, triggering a deadly series of attacks.
