and stakeholders alike, has brought the team’s poor form into sharp focus.
In response, Deputy Governor Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe called an emergency meeting with key club stakeholders. The meeting, held at the Deputy Governor’s temporary office in Lafia, addressed the team’s ongoing struggles.
Akabe emphasized that the team’s inconsistency, particularly the recent home defeat, was unacceptable and required immediate action. He shared, “The Governor and I are deeply concerned by the recent loss to Kwara United and have convened this meeting to strategize a path forward for our club.”
Acknowledging the need for substantial changes, Akabe pledged the government’s full support to ensure the team has the resources needed to succeed, saying, “We are committed to providing all necessary support and resources to help our players excel.”
Currently, Nasarawa United sits 17th in the league, with three wins, three draws, and five losses this season, tallying 12 points—just three points above the relegation zone teams, Akwa United and Bendel Insurance.
