Emem Essien’s brilliant strike in the 65th minute gave the Nigerian champions an initial lead, her third goal of the tournament. However, TP Mazembe staged a late comeback, with Merveille Nanguji equalizing in the 90th minute, forcing the game into extra time.

In a twist of fate, Edo Queens conceded an own goal in the 101st minute, courtesy of Comfort Folorunsho. TP Mazembe cemented their victory with a penalty conversion by Marlene Kasai, securing a spot in the finals and ending Edo Queens’ spirited campaign.
