Underage Internet Fraudster Nabbed After POS Operator Exposes Scam

was caught near Dan Kogo Motor Park at around 11 a.m.

Agoro allegedly instructed the POS operator, Chioma Kalu, to transfer N40,000 to one of his associates. However, when Kalu asked for the money after the transaction, Agoro claimed that his “master” would send the payment. He provided Kalu with a contact number for the supposed master, who admitted to receiving the funds and demanded the same amount be transferred again.

Refusing to comply with the request, Kalu raised an alarm, leading to Agoro’s arrest by local vigilantes, who brought him to their office for questioning.

Yahaya Madaki, the operational commander of the Zuba vigilantes, revealed that Agoro confessed to being introduced to the scam by a friend he met on social media. The boy’s brother later arrived at the vigilante office, repaid the N40,000 to Kalu, and secured his release.
