Dalung recounted his experience shortly after Buhari’s win, revealing how he was blocked from seeing the president on the day of his victory, only to discover that a shadowy group had emerged from nowhere, pushing aside the president’s true supporters. “I was blocked from entering his house, which had previously been open to me. From that day, the cabal had taken over,” Dalung explained.

He criticized how the real supporters of Buhari, who had fought for his election, were sidelined, leaving the president vulnerable to the manipulation of power-hungry figures. “These people, who understood power, took over and ran the government for their own interests for eight years,” he added.

When asked about the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, Dalung noted that while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) remains the same, it has become more complex, now resembling a “zoo.”

Dalung also denied that the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) formed the cabal within Buhari’s government, instead claiming that the group who seized power were not politicians but opportunists who took advantage of Buhari’s victory, “like bandits laying an ambush.”

He also alleged that this group, which he claims has become immensely wealthy and powerful, continues to wield significant influence.

Despite revealing these disturbing insights, Dalung expressed no fear of retribution, sharing that he has survived multiple assassination attempts throughout his 40-year political career. “I am not afraid of death. I know that I will not leave this planet until the day ordained by God,” he concluded.
