Tragedy In Germany: Nigeria Condemns Sh**cking Christmas Market Terror Attack

The Nigerian government has strongly condemned the car attack that occurred on Friday at a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany. The incident, which claimed at least five lives and left more than 200 people injured, took place when a man drove his car into a crowded market, causing widespread chaos.

In a statement issued on Saturday, signed by Kimiebi Ebienfa, the acting spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria expressed its condolences to the German government and its citizens over the tragedy.

The statement reads: “The Federal Republic of Nigeria extends its deepest condolences to the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Germany following the horrific car attack at a Christmas market in Magdeburg on December 20, 2024. The attack, which resulted in the deaths of five individuals and left over 200 injured, is strongly condemned. Our thoughts are with the German government and the families affected by this dreadful event.”

A 50-year-old Saudi doctor, who has lived in Germany for nearly two decades, has been arrested in connection with the car-ramming. Investigations are ongoing, with some reports suggesting that the incident may be an act of terrorism.
