Friday, April 11, 2025, at the NFF Secretariat in Abuja.

A total of 72 clubs will participate, comprising two clubs from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and one club representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The men’s competition begins with the Round of 64, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, 2025. Subsequent stages include:

• Round of 16: Wednesday, May 14, 2025
• Quarterfinals: Thursday, June 5, 2025
• Semi-finals: Wednesday, June 18, 2025
• Final: Saturday, June 28, 2025

The women’s tournament will start at the Round of 32 and follow a similar progression through to the grand finale.

The champions of the men’s competition will secure a spot in the 2025-2026 CAF Confederation Cup, representing Nigeria on an international stage.

In the 2024 edition, El-Kanemi Warriors triumphed in the men’s category, while Rivers Angels claimed the women’s title. Both teams have set a high standard for this year’s participants.
