The 352 pilgrims, including 180 from Adamawa, departed from Modibbo Adama Airport, Yola, at 11:36 PM and touched down at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, at 4:15 AM Nigerian time (6:15 AM Jordan time) on Saturday.

The pilgrimage group, which included pilgrims from the North-East states of Taraba, Gombe, and Yobe, was seen off by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s representative, Chief of Staff Dr. Edgar Amos. The Governor prayed for the safety of the pilgrims and urged them to abide by the laws of Jordan and Israel during their trip.

The pilgrims are scheduled to visit Christian holy sites in both Jordan and Israel, before returning to Nigeria on February 3, 2025.
