Raees Abacha, grandson of late Head of State Sani Abacha, has strongly criticized former military ruler General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) over claims in his new book, Journey In Service.

In a post on his X account, Raees accused Babangida of rewriting history to suit his own narrative, calling him the “Evil Genius.” He warned that anyone who believes Babangida’s version of events is following him “toward damnation.”

The release of Babangida’s book has reignited debates over Nigeria’s political past, with Abacha’s family and supporters rallying to defend his legacy.
