Super Eagles Of Nigeria Climb One Spot In Latest FIFA World Rankings

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up one position in the latest FIFA World Rankings for national teams, released on April 3, 2025.

Following their performance during the March international break, where they secured a win and a draw in two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, the Nigerian national team has improved from 44th to 43rd position in the global rankings. Despite their improved ranking, the Super Eagles still face a challenging path to World Cup qualification, currently sitting third in Group C, six points behind leaders South Africa.

On the African continent, Nigeria now holds the 6th spot, trailing Ivory Coast (5th) and Algeria (4th). Morocco, ranked 12th globally, remains the top African team, followed by Senegal (19th) and Egypt (32nd).

On the global stage, Argentina retains the number one position, followed by Spain, France, England, and Brazil. The top ten is rounded out by the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, and Germany.
