Huge Bust In Lagos: Police Arrest 68, Recover Luxury Lexus And Arsenal Of Guns!

The Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of 68 individuals linked to various criminal activities, alongside the recovery of a stolen N75 million Lexus Jeep and 17 firearms, following a series of recent operations in the state, according to iReporter Online.

At a press briefing held at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, credited the successes to coordinated operations, innovative strategies, and strong backing from both the Inspector-General of Police and the Lagos State governor. CP Jimoh also commended members of the public who provided timely information that aided the arrests.

The suspects are being detained for offenses ranging from murder and armed robbery to advanced fee fraud.

The police displayed several significant recoveries, including 17 firearms of various types, such as English pistols and a high-powered assault rifle, as well as four vehicles used by criminals, six laptops, and other items recovered during the crackdown.

Highlighting specific cases, CP Jimoh noted that on July 12, 2025, operatives apprehended Biliaminu, 26, an ex-convict, for armed robbery after he allegedly snatched a Toyota Camry from its owner, the vehicle was quickly recovered.

Additionally, the stolen luxury vehicle recovered was a 2021 model Lexus Jeep Hybrid valued at over N75 million, which had been smuggled into Lagos for sale without proper registration or import documentation, according to iReporter Online.

The command further announced the arrest of a notorious “one chance” syndicate operating with a Suzuki Minibus. The gang, which includes a female member who lured victims by deception, was caught following an attack on a businesswoman, during which they robbed her of hundreds of thousands of naira.

These arrests and recoveries signal a significant blow to criminal networks in Lagos, according to iReporter Online.
