Enugu APC Sets Goal To Register 1.5 Million Members – Chairman

According to Ireporter Online, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State has announced plans to register over 1.5 million members across the state. The announcement was made by the party’s Caretaker Chairman in Enugu, Dr. Ben Nwoye, on Thursday during the flag-off of training for APC E-registration Local Government Supervisors in Enugu.

Dr. Nwoye explained that the e-registration initiative is aimed at expanding the party’s membership base and modernizing its organizational structure. He emphasized that the online registration process marks a shift from previous practices where party registers were often mismanaged and membership cards were inconsistently issued.

“Gone are the days when one’s membership of the party was in doubt. Enugu is taking the lead as a smart state with a smart political party,” Nwoye stated. He added that the initiative would support both President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Peter Mbah’s ‘Tomorrow is Here’ vision, enhancing governance and development in the state.

The APC E-registration Chairman in Enugu, Chief Flavour Eze, noted that the exercise will verify members using their National Identification Number (NIN) and voter cards, aiming to eliminate fictitious registrations. The registration will take place at the ward level, with supervisors being trained to manage the process efficiently.

Eze praised Governor Mbah’s leadership, highlighting its positive impact on attracting investors and improving governance. He described the committee appointees as highly qualified and urged residents to continue supporting the government for the successful implementation of its policies and programs.

The coordinators for the registration exercise include Mr. Kelvin Edeh for Enugu East, and Messrs. Samson Eneje and Jennifer Ndubuisi for Enugu North and Enugu West Senatorial Districts, respectively.
