Breaking: Soludo Swears In New SSG And Top Officials
According to Ireporter Online, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Wednesday administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, alongside other key officials of the state government. The ceremony took place at the Executive Council Chamber of the Government House, popularly known as the “Light House,” in Awka, the state capital.
Governor Soludo urged the appointees to justify the confidence placed in them by delivering excellent service to the people of Anambra State. The new SSG and other officials were sworn in at approximately 12:47 p.m., with Mrs. Ngozi Iwouno, the former Solicitor-General, administering the oath of office to the new Attorney-General, Tobechukwu Nweke, who subsequently administered the oath of allegiance to the other officials.
Welcoming the officials, Soludo described them as part of “Team Solution 2.0,” noting that each had undergone a rigorous vetting process before receiving their respective assignments. He emphasized that these appointments represent only the first batch, with additional appointments to be announced in due course.
Soludo highlighted the dual nature of the appointments as both an honor and a responsibility, reminding officials that public service requires dedication and sacrifice. He stressed that holding public office should not be viewed as an avenue for personal gain but as a call to serve the people of Anambra. The governor also encouraged the officials to reflect on the significance of their oath of office and remain committed to their duties.
Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, Soludo explained that the success of his administration depends on effective collaboration among officials. He appealed to the people of Anambra, particularly the families of the newly appointed officials, to respect the public service mandate and avoid placing undue pressure on them.
Among those sworn in are Mrs. Ngozi Iwouno as Head of Service; Joachim Anetoh as Principal Secretary to the Governor; Dr. Ben Nwankwo as Chief of Staff; Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor as State Chief of Protocol; Uzochukwu Okafor as Commissioner for Finance; and Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, as Attorney-General. Other appointees include Christian Aburime as Chief Press Secretary; Dr. Vincent Okechi as Deputy Chief of Staff; Ms. Ngozi Okoye as Deputy State Chief of Protocol; Dr. Godwin Nnadozie as Special Adviser on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals; Ms. Chinwe Okoli as Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation; Prof. Ebuka Nwankwo as Special Adviser on Special Projects; and Ken Emeakayi as Special Adviser on Community Security.
