Daughter of former Nigerian president and Ogun State governorship aspirant, Iyabo Obasanjo, has visited Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence, where discussions centered on her political ambition and the future of the state.

According to Ireporter Online, Obasanjo, in a statement released on Tuesday, disclosed that she formally briefed the president on her intention to contest the Ogun State governorship seat and presented her development blueprint for the state. She outlined key priorities spanning governance, infrastructure development, and improved public service delivery, emphasizing her readiness to provide purposeful leadership if elected.

She further reflected on her long-standing political relationship with President Tinubu, describing it as one shaped by years of engagement and mutual respect, which she said has significantly influenced her leadership philosophy and political trajectory.

She maintained that effective governance requires experience and a clear vision, noting that her administration would prioritise education, healthcare, and job creation.
